Umbria, Italy College Journey

Not too long ago, I visited Umbria with my IES Overseas program. I used to be skeptical about occurring this journey, however I’m very grateful that I went as a result of I made a brand new buddy, David.

Whereas we have been touring to Umbria, I acknowledged David from his Instagram put up at a Milan church that I had been wanting to go to, and I initiated a dialog with him. We mirrored on the challenges of dwelling out our religion in our present setting. It made us each so grateful that we crossed paths; it’s been a blessing to have one another for accountability, encouragement, and fellowship.

The Blessed Grass

As we have been driving within the bus, everybody was speaking about how a lot nicer Umbria is than Milan. I seen the clouds have been casting enormous shadows over the fields, aside from one patch of grass that was illuminated by the solar.

I began pointing, joking, “Yo, the grass really is greener on this facet,” and “Bro, God’s favor is on that grass.” It most likely doesn’t sound as hilarious now, however we have been dying at the back of the bus.

The Chocolate Champion

Subsequent, we arrived on the Baci’s chocolate manufacturing facility, and realized easy methods to make chocolate from their chef. I did so nicely making chocolate that I received an award!

Roome With a View

Throughout our keep, I most likely had the perfect view I’ve ever seen in my life. We have been in a 5-star lodge perched on a mountain, and I’m satisfied that my view was the perfect of the entire group. Here’s a image!

The sunlight casts a warm glow through the opening in the curtains, illuminating the scene and creating a cozy, inviting atmosphere inside. The edges of the curtains have a textured trim, and the lower part of the window frame is visible.

We ended this journey with some lasagna and a protracted commute again dwelling. This journey was so significantly better than I ever anticipated.
