Canada has held a collection of Categorical Entry attracts this week.

Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is constant to conduct Categorical Entry attracts, inviting 1,500 trades candidates in a category-based choice spherical on August 3, 2023. The Complete Rating System (CRS) rating was 388.

On August 2, IRCC invited 800 candidates with a minimal Complete Rating System (CRS) rating of 435 in a category-based draw  focusing on these with French-language proficiency.

On August 1, IRCC held a basic Categorical Entry draw inviting 2,000 candidates. The CRS cut-off requirement was 517.

In the course of the week of July 10-14, IRCC issued 4,600 whole Invites to Apply (ITAs) issued in two Categorical Entry draw rounds: an all-program draw (with a minimal CRS of 505), and a focused French language proficiency draw (with a minimal CRS of 439). Latest weeks have additionally seen category-based attracts for Science Know-how Engineering and Arithmetic (STEM) and healthcare professionals.

Different focused classes

As IRCC continues to pursue focused attracts, there are nonetheless three different classes that the division has not but used to convey extra certified professionals to Canada. These are:

  • Commerce occupations (like welders, carpenters, plumbers, and many others.);
  • Transport occupations (like truck drivers, air pilots, railway visitors controllers, deck officers, and many others.); and
  • Agriculture and agri-food occupations (like butchers, contractors, and farm supervisors).

Notably each focused and program-based Categorical Entry attracts are anticipated to proceed on the similar time, with latest tendencies suggesting that they may occur individually, on the identical day or in consecutive days.
